Crisis and emergency support

  • If you're in a crisis or need urgent support, please contact Emergency Services on 000, LifeLine on 13 11 14, or Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467, or attend your nearest Emergency Department. These services are all available 24/7.

  • 13YARN also provides 24/7 crisis support for Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander people. 13YARN and can be contacted on 13 92 76.

  • Dardi Munwurro “Brother to Brother” crisis line - contactable 24/7 by phone on 1800 435 799.

    • Brother to Brother crisis line provides phone support for Aboriginal men needing to talk about relationship issues, family violence, parenting, drug and alcohol issues, or who are struggling to cope for other reasons. The crisis line is staffed by Aboriginal men, including Elders, who have a lived experience in the areas/issues that the line offers support for.

  • Thirrili support line - contactable 24/7 by phone on 1800 805 801.

    • Thirrili provide emotional and practical support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families impacted by a loss from suicide or other fatal traumatic incidents.
