This resource is designed to support neurodivergent, chronically ill, disabled, and otherwise marginalised people — including those with eating disorders, differences, or difficulties.

It contains 60 self-advocacy scripts across 15 topics, to help people identify & express their needs around food / eating, boundaries, healthcare, accessibility, support, and more. These scripts can be used in healthcare settings, social situations, or everyday life, and provide clear, affirming language for:

  • Expressing boundaries and access needs

  • Responding to discrimination, judgement, or dismissal

  • Accessing care, referrals, and support

  • Stating sensory, interoception, and regulation needs

  • Expressing communication and information processing needs

Who is this version for?

This version is for use by clinicians, support workers, and other professionals. It includes permission to share digital (soft copy) or print (hard copy) versions with your own clients or patients at no cost to them. This resource is intended to support marginalised people, and must not be used for the purchaser’s financial gain or benefit.

How do I download it?
